Kamal Adwan

Palestinian engineer; in the late 1950s a teacher in Qatar; later studied petroleum engineering in Cairo;

Fateh key figure and Central Committee member; among the top leaders of the Black September Organization; PLO leader in charge of operations in the OPT;

Was assassinated - along with Kamal Nasir, Mohammed Yousef An-Najjar and the latter’s wife - in an Israeli retaliatory commando raid on Beirut on 10 April 1973, led by Ehud Barak.
